The countdown to the Eukanuba World Challenge 2013 has started

The excitement is growing as we are getting closer to the 2013 Eukanuba World Challenge! This truly international competition will once again be held in conjunction with the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in Orlando, FL on December 10-15 at the Orange County Convention Center.

2013 Earthdog Grand Prix

The earthdog trial regulations approved by the FCI General Committee were applied for the second time on 30 August - 1 September 2013. As was the case last year, the FCI Earth Dog Commission awarded the Thuringia subsidiary of the German Teckel Club responsibility for staging this year's EGP.

After an exciting and even show season in Norway, several dogs were in contention for the “golden ticket” to Orlando in September.

2013 VGP European Dachshund Cup in Steigerwald (DE)

The InterVGP (International Utility Test for Teckels) trial regulations approved by the FCI General Committee were applied on 4 - 6 October 2013, with the North Bavaria Dachshund Club (DCN), a member of the German Teckel Club, given the responsibility of organising the trials.

The 23^rd FCI IPO World Championship was held on 19-22 September 2013 in the stadium of the the beautiful city of Roudnice nad Labem. “nad Labem” means next to the river Elbe.

The Leman Society for Greyhound Racing was delighted to welcome the Championship for the 9^th time.

Germany was not left out of the scene as REICHENBACH published Der Hund (The Dog) in Leipzig as early as 1836.
